On August 20, 2012 in St. John's, NL Ms. Tammy Taylor issued a Statement of Claim against the Eastern Regional Health Authority for breach of personal health information. The Class Action was filed in the Registry of the Supreme Court Trial Division in the capital city and was served on the Eastern Regional Health Authority. Ms. Taylor has retained lawyer Bob Buckingham of Bob Buckingham Law to represent her in this matter.

Central Regional Health Authority Class Action (2018-2020)

Central Regional Health Authority announced a breach of privacy of approximately 240 people from 2018 - 2020. Class Action relating to 2020 Salmonella Outbreak in Newfoundland and Labrador caused by contaminated egg products.
Bob Buckingham Law has filed a class action on behalf of all persons in Newfoundland and Labrador who suffered physical illness or injury after handling or consuming eggs or products containing eggs which were subject of a Food Recall and Notification issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on October 8th, 2020, updated on October 9th, 2020 and December 12th, 2020 related to its food safety investigation of the contamination of Salmonella present in eggs produced at Hilly Acres Farm, Nova Scotia.
The complete list of egg-products which were subject to a recall by Hilly Acre Farms can be found at the links in the following paragraph. Recalled products include egg cartons under the brands Compliments, No Name, Great Value, Maritime Pride, Nova Eggs, Nova Eggs Ultra, Farmer John Eyking and Eyking Delite. On October 8th, 2020, October 9th, 2020, October 10th, 2020, and December 12th, 2020, Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a recall notice in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador relating to eggs which were produced at Hilly Acres Farm, in Nova Scotia due to possible Salmonella
contamination.
It is alleged that Hilly Acres Farm were negligent in failing to ensure their eggs were fit for their intended use (i.e. consumption), and failed to warn the proper authorities of the dangers of ingesting their egg products. Philips CPAP and Respiratory Device Class Action Information
Bob Buckingham Law is planning to commence a national class action on behalf of all persons in Canada who used a Philips CPAP machine, BIPAP machine or mechanical ventilator which are currently subject to a recall by the company. The complete list of all affected devices can be found here.
On June 14, 2021, Philips Respironics issued a recall notice in the US for approximately 35 models of its Respiratory Devices that were manufactured with a Polyester-Based Polyurethane (PE-PUR) sound abatement foam. Exposure to the PE-PUR foam can have adverse health effects including, but not limited to, increased cancer risk, respiratory damage, asthma, nausea, vomiting, and headache.
It is alleged that Philips Respironics negligently designed and manufactured the Respiratory Devices and failed to warn users of the health risks associated with use of the Respiratory Devices, while assuring users of the safety of its products.
