July 28, 2021 – Bob Buckingham Law has filed a class action on behalf of all persons in Newfoundland and Labrador who suffered physical illness or injury after handling or consuming eggs or products containing eggs which were subject of a Food Recall and Notification issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on October 8th, 2020, updated on October 9th, 2020 and December 12th, 2020 related to its food safety investigation of the contamination of Salmonella present in eggs produced at Hilly Acres Farm, Nova Scotia.

The complete list of egg-products which were subject to a recall by Hilly Acre Farms can be found at the links in the following paragraph. Recalled products include egg cartons under the brands Compliments, No Name, Great Value, Maritime Pride, Nova Eggs, Nova Eggs Ultra, Farmer John Eyking and Eyking Delite. On October 8th, 2020, October 9th, 2020, October 10th, 2020, and December 12th, 2020, Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a recall notice in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador relating to eggs which were produced at Hilly Acres Farm, in Nova Scotia due to possible Salmonella
contamination.

It is alleged that Hilly Acres Farm were negligent in failing to ensure their eggs were fit for their intended use (i.e. consumption), and failed to warn the proper authorities of the dangers of ingesting their egg products. If you believe you consumed eggs which were the subject of the above recalls, and experienced illness, please complete the Class Action Registration Form below.
