Proposed Class Action
Bob Buckingham Law has filed a proposed class action against the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador on behalf of former students who suffered physical abuse perpetrated by members of the Irish Christian Brothers while attending schools in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The proposed class action alleges that members of the Irish Christian Brothers physically abused students and that the Province failed to take reasonable steps to protect them.
If you attended a school in Newfoundland and Labrador where members of the Irish Christian Brothers taught or exercised authority over students, and you believe you suffered physical abuse, such as repeated or excessive strapping, punching, kicking, slapping, being struck with objects, dragging, or other physical assaults or forms of excessive corporal punishment, we encourage you to complete the intake form below.

This proposed class action has not yet been certified by the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador.
